What is the internet?
The internet is a worldwide computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities. It consists of interconnected networks using standardized communication protocols. In 1969, Arpanet was born as a project from the US Department of Defense’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). “Being online” is a term used to describe someone who is currently connected to the Internet.
